Wow, a inhouse craft party. We should totally make that our new business. Buy some Debbie Bliss wool out of a suitcase. Sounds much more appealing that working 9-5 :)

I think it would be a great idea to do handmade crafts for Christmas (for each other, and for family--my family mostly gives handmade stuff now anyways). Let's do it.

Jess, that's a really good idea. I've wanted to do that for my family too (hahah, I can only imagine my dad making me some Christmas crafts!)

Jess, I always save all my Bust mags in their entirety, but I did start chopping up the Martha's so that I can eventually make a binder of my favorite recipes and crafts. You could even have different pretty binders for recipes, gardening, crafts etc... Don't feel bad about the mag consumption, I do the same (I subscribe to Chatelaine and LouLou and Today's Parent as well and regularly buy Venus and sometimes Knitting mags) but I find I love the instant gratification of looking at magazine pictures-good for when I'm feeling too lazy to read a book or want something pretty to look at (sorry, rambling...)

Oh god, that's not good at all. You know, I had sort of wondered about Urban Outfitters and their seemingly cutting edge designs and wondered if they were ripping people off.
Interesting too how Anthropologie is using sweatshops and charging consumers an arm and a leg for the clothes.
